Our established team of environmental professionals is seeking a highly motivated Senior to Mid-Level Environmental Professional to join our environmental consulting team.

General Responsibilities:

  • Managing and overseeing a wide range of environmental projects.
  • Managing projects involving the remediation of sites impacted with soil and groundwater contaminants and associated mitigation of vapor intrusion impacts. This position will involve developing detailed scopes of work, cost estimating, managing field work, performing data evaluation, and reporting, was well as effectively communicating with clients, attorneys, and regulators, and reporting. (This position does not necessarily require experience with the design of mechanical remediation systems.)
  • Evaluating cleanup action alternatives required to complete Feasibility Study/ Disproportionate Cost Analysis.
  • Assisting with cost recovery and litigation efforts.
  • Mentoring junior level technical staff.
  • Tracking and managing project budgets and schedules.
  • Providing oversight for project-related field staff and subcontractors.
  • Assisting in business development efforts as needed.
  • Consistently implementing the best business practices.
  • Helping to improve department productivity.
  • Performing internal peer review for RGI environmental documentation and reporting.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in geology, hydrogeology, environmental science/engineering or related discipline.
  • 12+ years of experience in the environmental consulting field.
  • Familiarity with the Pacific Northwest and has experience providing environmental services within this region.
  • Possesses the ability to train field and junior level staff and aid in their long-term professional development.
  • Has working knowledge of MTCA and other applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Experience with Ecology’s VCP program and the regulatory closure process.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent technical writing skills and experience with the preparation of technical reports.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated to learn and stay up to date with current applicable technical information and regulations.
  • Ability to communicate with clients and team effectively.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record;
  • Understands the importance of field safety and is eager to abide to corporate and onsite health and safety protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical license in geology, hydrogeology, and/or engineering.
  • UST site assessor certification.
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER
  • AHERA building inspector

Wage and Benefits information for the position as advertised – a fulltime, exempt, salary position paid $110,000-$140,000 annually and depending on experience (DOE).
